I have emailed Kawasaki UK  in regards to a dating letter for my S3a , they have said there should be no problem as long as the details come back from Kawasaki Japan with the original frame and engine numbers  but my numbers have a difference of 807
I know that they were never matching but my UK KH400 have a difference of only   13     Can anyone see an issue with the greater difference on the S3a
On mraxl's site the engine suggests it's in the correct parameters , I have also attached Kawasaki a link to mraxl's site and sent a copy of the Michigan ( certificate of title ) which says 1974 which in theory would make it a S3 but the frame and engine number makes it an S3a on mraxl's site which is a 1975
Fingers crossed
🤞

I'm sure Rick Brett is still able to do dating certificates for the dvlc, try him if you get no luck from kawasaki Exclamation

I used hima couple of years ago and dvla took it no problem

I had the DVLA issue with my S3 import from France.
Asked Rick for a dating certificate at the email below, and got it sorted within a week.
This was only 2 months ago, and DVLA were happy with what he provided.

h2rik@aol.com

"You will need to send me a paypal address and I will invoice you for 39 and when you pay the invoice I'll need the engine and frame number.

You will get a certificate which will pacify the DVLA
"

My frame and engine numbers are original, but nowhere close to each other.

The DVLA accepted the attached dating information from Glass's Guide to confirm age of my S3A. I had sent them a dating certificate from Rick Brett but they still wanted more.

I've heard that DVLA can be a bit inconsistent in what they will accept for dating.
I originally sent them 3 separate sources of data on frame and engine numbers relevant to year of production (including a scan of the original Kawasaki workshop manual) and they bounced it back. Then took the certificate from Rick B without question  Neutral
