Righto! Before I butcher the rear tail light case on a S1/S1a 250 does anyone know how to separate the bulb holder and reflector from the main case so the case can be rechromed? Could grind a lip off but that creates the problem of refitting it. Come on Brains Trust, there must be a way or am I going blind.

Just aside, my friends and I in Australia hope those motherless bastards that did the recent bombing/stabbing attacks get what they deserve upon arrival in hell!!

If you look around the backside where the wires enter through a rubber grommet.
The earth wire is riveted to a collar around the outside, carefully loosen the collar and slip it off, the lamp literally falls apart then..

You will still need to unsolder the wires from the inside base where the bulb sits.

Brilliant! Applied a bit of hot and cold to break the seal and eventually was able separate. Thanks for the tip.
