Spent hours carefully and tediously scraping the baked on remains of the paper base gasket off the barrells using a razor blade at 90 degrees and wd40.
The problem now is the remains on the crankcase which is harder to get at in the frame especially as the studs wont come out even with the two nut trick.
I have seen gasket removal spray which claims you leave it on for 20 mins then the gasket just wipes off but reviews Ive seen dont seem to substantiate this.
Has anyone had any luck with these and if so which brand. Or does anyone have any other techniques.
