Ooooo I hope not as the engine has not done a great mileage since rebuild, I haven't a compression tester but it maybe on my purchase list, but I hope not.

kill it with the choke
then no throttle when you come to kick it up, this only works if you intend to leave the bike for  say 45 minutes, if you do kill it on the choke and go to start it again say after 10 minutes then you'll need to use wide open throttle to get the bike started

My S1 is also a little awkward, in my case no throttle then stabbing the choke on the first pop does the trick, miss it or overdo it and it's the same scenario (including the crowd).

It's the Goldilocks effect.

Hi guys,

Exactly the same scenario with my S1, when cold some choke and no throttle and it starts perfectly, but after a ride and stopping + cooling some times, very difficult to start with kick.

And as Scouse says in this case it sometimes starts better opening full throtlle, not everytime...
My S1 have about 36000 kms, new rings some years ago, and in my opinion doesn't have high compressions, only 6.5 to 7 bars depending the cylinder, i think the problem is here..

Any similar problem with the S2 ? as i will convert it in a S2 next month (brand new rebored cylinders)
Thanks,
JC

I haven't experimented with Scouse`s solution of "kill it with the choke" yet but will report back either way when I do  Exclamation

Hi ! You mean this for "second start" after a ride and cooling ?
