|
|
Hi, My brother wants me to go and have a look at a KH 400 he is thinking about buying. But I have very little experience with the KH bikes, so would appreciate any advice of what to be looking out for, If some parts are missing, which are the parts that are hard to get hold of. Are matching engine and frame numbers a big thing. ??
Thanks in anticipation Phil.

the numbers never match.
but should begin 'S3E....' on the engine and 'S3F....' on the frame.
watch for smoke from RH exhaust (crank seal) slipping clutch or ignition problems (especially).
having a (long) rear mudguard and original airbox are both positive signs.
Otherwise the usual stuff for any bike, they are pretty healthy usually.
Who is selling and where (abouts) might know it/him _________________ :

| Write down the frame- and engine numbers and post them here. Someone here will tell you if they're in the correct range. |

Thanks Lads, I really don't know much about the bike, other than, he has been told its complete and there is a almost complete KH 250 included with the deal for £1000 Condition unknown. I will know more when I go to see it in Bradford next week.
Cheers Phil. |
