I was in touch with Roger Hill recently , we where reminiscing on the old times ,if only we could bring them back, great times

that looks really nice ,the one im doing at the moment is identical ,it came in a wheel barrow 28 years ago and has only taken 5 years to look nearly finished lol ,just started the engine today funnily enough, but the engines gotta come back out ,as i can only get two gears ,annoyingly as i could get all of them when i built it :smt102

Hi Guys. This is my first post and was interested to see Davick mentioned.
:D
I used to go there in 1975 on my FS1E and dream of owning an S1c  :D

In 1976 when I was 17 they brought out the kh range which didn`t do it for me so I bought an rd 250. I used to frequent Davick Motique in Long Eaton alot in those days and actually won a Z650 for the weekend when it was launched at the Derby assembly rooms in late 76. I did around 400 miles on that bike and was king for a weekend. :sunny

Move forward a few decades and I now have a fully restored genuine UK S1c LJD 308P.

The engine is out at the moment as I am trying to find a reliable source to fix the crank as I don`t have the time :?

All these references to Davick Motique bring back some happy memories. I bought a S1 250 from them in 1974. I was living in the North of Scotland at the time and they sent the bike by train to Lairg in Sutherland. It was dark metallic green with the lime green flash. Registration was TRB 473M, I still have the front number plate.

Nice to see such a great restoration. You did a great job there.
