i had a pair of them on a 400 Si, they were ok in the dry ,but lethal in the damp.
slightest bt of damp and they slid like a fried egg in a teflon pan.
they are shite si the 400 is in the garage on the paddoc stand and the first job is to get some good rubber for next year
Eric,,As far as I can remember the tyres Higgsy fitted to your 400 were not Chen Shins.
Surprised Adrian has'nt chimed in and mentioned the Classic race guys are using Chen Shins and raving about them.
Remember how we used to slag off Bridgestones and Yokohamas in our yoof, now Bridstone is the tyre of choice on the road and track. I may not have bought ChenShins 20 years ago but I wouldn't hesitate now. As Simon L says, the classic racers love em and to quote Simon H, you don't always get what you pay for on those more 'traditional' brands.
Give Chen Shins and Shinko a chance, they may be cheap but there not bad _________________ If it ain't broke, it soon will be
