i have a kh250b1 project with the kh 250 prefix on the frame on the log book the prefix is s1f which is from the previous 250a / s models .the nos
are the same!!

nos on bike frame kh250b 007** engine sie 029*** on a p plate reg 1/1/76

currently dont have v5 as lost bike untaxed since 1990 but have done hpi check hence discovery of different prefix

would i have trouble with the computerised mot system ie garage refusing to mot because prefix is wrong

if i contact dvla and ask to change the prefix can they do this if not what options are open to me?

the dealer must have registered it wrong. I think if you get rick brett to authenticate the changeover, dvla would change it.

Only recently have you needed the logbook when you get a mot, normally the old mot would suffice (which in your case was already wrong!)

but he'll have to apply for the v5 with the incorrect frame number otherwise he might not get it, if you see what i mean
