hi, i have recently rebuilt the engine of my 1978 kh250.this was to replace the kickstart return spring which had snapped. however when i fired the bike up again the middle cylinder filled with gearbox oil,has anyone any ideas before i strip the motor once again.

shit luck there mate. Sounds like a stripdown to me. Cant think of anything apart from the obvious. Unless the oil was there already???
Good news is you can do it from underneath, just doing that on my last 250 engine, topends fine, 2nd gear is goosed. |

some yama bond on one of the surfaces, have to be really clean......tighten up from middle out,..as book,. good luck again.
