well spotted mate, the two pictured are as new with no blueing or major witness marking on the tangs or the selector drum pins, makes me think that they have been changed at some time, but the 3rd fork, the one on the selector drum, has got some scars (not measured the clearences yet but expect to change) will try to get some better pics up asap and thanks for the comments, please keep em coming. I'm taking the crank and barrels to my friendly local engineer for inspection tommorow so should have a better idea as to whats needed in that department to....cheers....Dave.

got me barrels back today, first over size and honed to match the new pistons :D  going to get the crank recond as soon as funds allow  but one question, should I be able to select all 5 gears by hand (engine on bench) or does the 4th gear need to be spinning to allow engagment? I can only select 1st and neutral at the moment....anyone help?.........Thanks Dave.
