thank for all the info all i can say is that when i earth the engine the nutral light works so i guss it needs one :smt102 thanks phil

There are other ways that the engine will be earthed, through the cables to the handlebars etc (then greasy head bearings), and there is a single wire from the generator to the harness and then to the frame, but it's not good to have ignition, generator etc relying on a single point to the frame erm and vice versa of course... the slightest resistance will cause problems. _________________ :
