any humax graham, very few of the dvd recorders have 2 tuners, as they expect you to have one in your telly.

Just crash edit from humax to dvd recorder thru rgb scart :thumright:

All philips avoid like the plague and samsung too (hdd and dvd recorders), tellys are alright tho

Cheers Fella, I'm so- not up to speed these days, whenI was in the TV game, I could never have a night off, someone always had a duff telly 'if I could just pop round sometime'? :thumright:

Looking at this one, new eBayer but I could pick it up and pay on collection. Looks like it has everthing I need but seems very cheap!

They are £130 for a basic one. I have been looking for a while for one with AV input and they are all still about £300+, although play.com are selling this model for £200 at the moment.

I wanted to get one with AV input to try a bullet cam and get some decent video of our rideouts, especially this years northern.

Thanks for the advice Simon.
The Wolfman

Try a pocket hard drive recorder Steve, I got one and tested it at the Southern, pictures are good, but the model I got is too fiddly when your starting the recordings... too many things to do.

tony, my point was joe public sees them in the shops for 130 so wont bid up on ebay, as they dont even know what av input is.  theres some dead cheap sd card camcorders now, like £30-40... might be worth using, tape to your helmet!!
tony_d123

Got the JVC GR-D93 for £113 brand new! Been playing with it today, well pleased.

I thought about the "flash" type recorders as they obviously don't suffer from vibration problems on a bike, but the picture resolution is still fairly low to fit any decent length of video onto an SD card, even the 40GB ones. Good enough for Youtube, but not much else.
simonh

thats a good deal mate.

always let the cam acclimatise before you use it, hot to cold, damp to dry etc.  Other wise it'll stop working temp. or worse tape will stick to the drum.
