Squeaky front KH250 brake discNew KH owner on the block.
Had KH (R reg) for about 10 months now, only got the chance to take it out for about 350 miles this summer, thougth I'd take it out for a spin before putting it to bed for winter. front brake is squeaking something terrible, pads are about 25% gone. Any help to quell problem would be most appreciated.

sorry i dont want to buy a squeaky brake :-D
seriously,make sure that the pads are returning and not binding when the brake is not on.Take the caliper off,make sure the pistons move freely,clean the pads and disc with 100 grit emery cloth and that should sort it. :thumright:

All good advice from kas750.Maybe put a smear of copper grease on the back of the pads.

tiny bit of copper slip, cos the anti squeal plates will be worn out or lost :thumright:

Copper slip on the front of the pads stops it too....
the plate is probably missing behind the pad.

Nope, grease on the face of the pads will definitely stop it sqweeking.
It'll stop it stopping too, but hey! you can't have everything.
My H2 sqweeks like a good 'un, but I like it, I can play tunes for the last 20 feet or so, and people can hear me coming. :thumright:
