fit a kh250 front end (disc brake)
a z250 disc is the same diameter as the kh250 but thinner and drilled (so lighter) bolts straight on can't remeber what model
braided hose and a modern master cyclinder (think mine is an AR125)
again smaller lighter

what???this bike isn't made for 108mph??
ok... so i mix my own fuel..
1-1.5 yellow bottles of heat(methol alcohol)(per tank)
add a bit of 2t oil into the gas(i run full synthetic 2 stroke oil)
stock gearing, slightly oversized rear
and hang on for dear life.....
the vibration at (and over) redline will numb your hands and feet within 3 seconds.
other then that, the engine is stock... well... now that you mention it...
the PO did mention something about porting... or at least polishing the ports to be smoother flow between the ports and the intake/exhast parts..
it was alot of years ago ok..... i don't remeber exactly what he said he did. but it involved sandpaper and lots of time, i remember that much.
Hmm, KH250 front end.. the KH250-B1 1976 S1E-028801 had disk
but the KH250-A5 1976 S1E-026600 - S1F-24400 i don't think they imported them to the US after 76 because of EPA laws.. Maybe i have my years wrong.. but i wasn't aware that the US kh's had disk brakes..
I will look into this more..
Z250? i searched z250 and came up with a newer Suzuki 4 wheeler
i don't think that's what you ment Scouse.

nope
try going up one tooth on your standard gearing, ran my 250 like that for years

Huh?i ment that i have an oversized rear tire.
stock driver and driven sprockets.. sorry for the confusion..
i work nights, i get dumber as the night goes on.
I see your picture, now i know what a Z250 is. and no, kawy never shipped them to the US. it's a four stroke twin that is our "KZ" model bikes
Here is a KZ200 that may have been shipped our way:

Hmm, now i see a 250.. but it's only a thumper with front drum.
http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/kawasaki_kz_250_ltd_1980.php
I wonder if i could steal the front end off of one of these..?

Dual disk fronts HOOWOO
the nice part of the kz's in the US is that they are a dime a dozen.
very few people want them. i'll have to look into it.
Thanks for the great idea gents!!!
has anyone messed with the HID headlights? first problem being the reflector is 1 piece with the bulb..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws...7402&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
does anyone know a reflector that would bolt in?

dont bother trying to upgrade headlight, theres not enough power in the system
kz complete frontend will squeeze on with some persuasion, but is a bit of a boat anchor

go toward the light... :)that's the beauty of the HID system, it requires less power then stock.
the draw of a stock bulb is 55 watt low 65watt high(approx)
the HID bulb draws 35 watts.
i'll admit i'm now electricly inclined, so i may just look like an idiot.
but i thought that these numbers mean less power draw.
plus the HID's are brighter, if you are meeting one then they are obnoxiously bright.
KZ fronts are a but bulky? hmm..
S1 running approx 28 HP, extra weight = bad..
ok, i'll keep thinking on that..
Thank you for the help!
