Removing old breaking in decal goo from tachI just got my restored S3A running and want to put the finishing touch to it. I have a new tach break-in decal I got from Rick Brett back in 04 and want to put it on the tach. Issue I have is the old original 30+ year old residue is still on the center lense of the tach.
What is the best way to remove it. I have sticker gone (also known as goo gone) but wasn't sure if this stuff would melt or cloud the lense. New chemicals and old plastic you know.
Just curious if anyone else has had success removing this old baked on crud before installing a new decal.
Thanks,
Nick

The Tacho/speedo lenses are glass. I'm sure you will have no problem using the product you have.

wd40 or similar does the trick, but as its glass as long as you dont use an abrasive be fine

Goo gone worked great. Thanks for the info. I just wanted to check before ruining something.
