Original 1971 S1 being restored...Currently restoring a 1971 Kawasaki S1 - pearl white/green decals (obv') with 7k on the clock.
Me and my house-mate came across this bike last year in a garden shed and paid a pricely £150 for it, along with an S2 frame, wheels, barrels etc... as a doner bike.
All of the S2 bits were sold to fund the S1 - The centre piston is shot to $hit, so barrels, crank are of to Ken @ SEP this month for a re-bore and rebuild.
Would like to hear from anyone else who has resorted an S1 for any advice etc...
Website will be up and runnning soon with pics and full build diary.
Cheers - Gav.

Yeah they are nice and pretty rare - according to Bretty it's one of the very very early ones. Will be great to get it up and running again - just need to hopefully come across some parts at Staffs next week.

G'day all. Just registered on site. I got one of the early S1's in Melbourne. Been renovatin it for 10 years on and off. Parts in Aus are real hard to get but I just need a good set of indicators to finish off. The bikes a 72 model in pearl white. Not sure if theres many/any in aus??
