Mine was HTV 291N
DAVICK

Hi andy
yes my reg number was GRA 954N but rb has checked on his comp a while back but theres no sign of it still being around ,  but i did buy an s1c some years ago from a breakers to restore and its reg is 17 numbers away from mine and should have come out of davicks shop as they issued reg numbers in batches i was lucky to get it :thumright:  I remember davicks having a tuned 250 with spannies for customers to try do you remember seeing that ?
Andy p

yes MINE, and my pal paul b , they both had lawson chambers, theres a pic on this forum "    my s1c  "
changed the colour to candy green, i`ll pm you the story, as i have told it so many times on the other forums, and i would hate to bore the pants off every body again
cheers or now

its on the triples officail club site, no offence chaps
wing nut

that looks really nice ,the one im doing at the moment is identical ,it came in a wheel barrow 28 years ago and has only taken 5 years to look nearly finished lol ,just started the engine today funnily enough, but the engines gotta come back out ,as i can only get two gears ,annoyingly as i could get all of them when i built it :smt102

Hi Guys. This is my first post and was interested to see Davick mentioned.
:D
I used to go there in 1975 on my FS1E and dream of owning an S1c  :D

In 1976 when I was 17 they brought out the kh range which didn`t do it for me so I bought an rd 250. I used to frequent Davick Motique in Long Eaton alot in those days and actually won a Z650 for the weekend when it was launched at the Derby assembly rooms in late 76. I did around 400 miles on that bike and was king for a weekend. :sunny

Move forward a few decades and I now have a fully restored genuine UK S1c LJD 308P.

The engine is out at the moment as I am trying to find a reliable source to fix the crank as I don`t have the time :?
simonh

grampian engineering will rebuild the crank itself

That's a cracking restoration

All these references to Davick Motique bring back some happy memories. I bought a S1 250 from them in 1974. I was living in the North of Scotland at the time and they sent the bike by train to Lairg in Sutherland. It was dark metallic green with the lime green flash. Registration was TRB 473M, I still have the front number plate.

Nice to see such a great restoration. You did a great job there.
