I'm trying to be tactful here  But in my opinion blackpool is best enjoyed with a base in the northern side of the resort......

Marton Mere is OK, not really in Blackpool, its right on the outskirts & edge of countryside. My mum & dad had a caravan there years ago but its been developed quite a bit since then. Indoor pool now I believe!
Its a nice walk around the mere if the weathers OK and you can walk a bit further to the zoo if you fancy it. The kids will enjoy it whatever the weather.

B&B in Blackpool, are £50pp mon to fri, not per night, theres no one friggin' here !!,.

lovely part of the world that.The only problem as you say is parking in whitby...........oh and the twats charge you 40p to use the public bogs
Saltburn is also a mint place.I used to do the sprint there.They closed the road off on the hillside and it was a timed sprint to the top....Frank melling got it stopped though (the owner of thundersprint).He complained that it was illegal to race on the public roads on the mainland.Mainly because he was denied this when planning the northwich thundersprint so he decided to fuck it up for everybody.
