kh 400 ignition problem

hi guys .anybody got any ideas what to do about the blown trigger coils on my kh400 stator plate .ive tried everywere i can think off to get one or a repair done   no joy  even thinking off rewinding it myself .?  someone out there must have one or know where i can get one . cheers

think big als got some spare, and there is somewhere in yorkshire that rewires them??

have tried to get some re-wound from another place without success !, let us now if ya' get them done and how it works out,... 8)

West country windings is the place to get your coils sorted, but i do have a NOS high speed winding which i bought in error for sale??

theres a PDF file that robotron sent me when i was having trouble with my 400, if you look at the subjects in the forum (kh400 Spark or not )  that's where you will see the coil readings for the Kh400

I managed to get a full stator plate with the windings lighting coils Etc from the good old US of A for £35.00 which went straight on ,

is the spark poor on your bike ??

two things, one of the exciter coils goosed as readings too low and ring gaps were wayout ,so it would never started ,advice from addy and mr lister  for a rebore new pistons first size up , just got them back actually from Si last week and i am going to get them on this week  the paint set as been done Candy royal purple picking that up monday tomorrow  :)  

hopefully thats it for now i just want to get out and ride the fooker

hi guys .ive been in touch with west country windings .sending tommorrow.mine are fried .metered them and there showing an open circuit .both of them[strange].checked with other meter same readings.ive checked out all other ignition parts that you can with a meter.all ok according to mr kawasaki manual ?ive been looking on beday usa for parts no luck so far .il wait and see how it goes with west country windings for now and let you know  if anyones intrested i bourght this kh of beday last year been of the road since the mid eighties.complete and in pretty good nick for 20 years in a garage .full dyson bodykit fitted not been painted all correct stickers .ugly as hell but we all wanted one       didnt we?

kh00 ignition trouble

hi guys sent the trigger coils to west country windings monday .got them back thursday checked with meter. readings perfect.rewired to stator plate arsed about for a couple of hours fitted new plugs and zzzzzing brilliant runs really well on the workbench .no bad for 20 years parked.it cost me £72 with postage which i think is reasonable service i cant fault recommend them to anyone with the same problems              should be a pic of this bike here but bear with me im not great on pc
