IOM '82An old mate called round today with some photos of our trip to the TT in 1982.
Pulling into the Highlander car park on my KH250 with FLF tank/seat unit...
Watching the racing from the Highlander pub wall....
June 1982 was cracking the flags and we decided it would be a good idea to jump off the cliffs at Peel (20 years old & no brains).....

Great pictures Tony,
if i am not mistaken, the guy with the beard is called Charlie right? He is now married to Sue, and he is wearing my leather jacket!!!

Correct! Thats whos jacket I thought you were wearing. He got the Furygan logos put on at the TT in 82.
How do you know him?
Funnily enough I haven't seen him for a few years as he hasn't got a bike now, but I bumped into him and Sue after calling round your house on Saturday.

How bizarre!!
The jacket was given by Charlie to my best mate Phil Nettleship and i spent many a sunday chasing him and that jacket around the lakes, and the tt for several years.
Phil was a brilliantly smooth fast rider and loved his 2 strokes. Sadly Phil passed away in 1996 and the jacket was given to me by his widow Leslie after i wore it riding Phils bike behind the hurse at the funeral.
It still has all the badges on that Charlie bought at the tt's.
I e mailed your picture to Leslie this morning and she confirmed the story!
Hows that for a coincidence  :thumright: :thumright:
This is me wearing it talking to Whitham this year

I thought it looked familiar, but when you said it was your mate Phils thought it was just coincidence.
Looks like Whit does his own ironing. :D

What do you mean UGLY. Great courting cars. The front seats folded back flat level with the back seats and the back of them folded back to make a double bed. GREAT. wish I still had my old 1750HL.
