A good day out.

Looking at the weather, I decided to go on my Fazer, Brian was on his RD500 and Higgsy was wheelying his Z1000 all around the Yorkshire Dales. Only Ted from Blackpool was brave enough to take his triple and quite rightly won a prize. Wasn't best Jap, may have been best turned out bike or something....

There were a few interesting bikes out, but my favourite is the organiser Geoff Maddens Norton rotary "streetfighter"....

A couple of signatures on the tank, Steve Hislop and Jamie Whitham....

I think he told me they happened to be at the painters when he was getting it done so he got them both to sign it before it was laquered. Can't have been long before Steves fatal accident.
HIGGSPEED

Yes , good day out all round. Well done to Ted for best bike on the run for his lovely H2C.
:thumright:
i was one of the judges though

Yes Tony Geoffs rotary streetfighter is definately a one off. It is an exup frame (drilled and tapped to act as oil reservoir) early fireblade front and back ens with YZF 750 rear seat unit. Geoff fabricates his own version of the factory ejector exhaust system which you may remember looking like a bit of hoover pipe attached to Trevor Nation and Steve Spray's factory bikes.

I rode it once at night over cockerham straight in the pitch black. Every time i closed the throttle, a 2 foot flame shot out the back and a thousand startled sheeps eyes refected back from the eery blackness of the adjoining fields ! I nearly fell off laughing :D . Mind you thats all that did happen when you closed the throttle, cos there is bugger all engine braking, even less than a 2 stroke, it just seems to carry on regardless till you hit the brakes!
Cool bike though!
Clever fella too that Geoff and he loves his bikes. Last year he led the run on his immaculate Hesketh V1000.
He has literally , sheds full of bikes.
