confusedhey. how do you know the difference between an s1 and a kh250? I have one but I don't know what one it is. Its says kh-250 on the side but the vin number says its an s1 |

S1 has drum front brake .All 250 engine no's start with S1E | ||||

Don't forget that US early 76 KH 250 were sold with drum front brake, euro model were sold with disc brake. | ||||

ok now I'm confussed here... see I'm in canada. the side of the bike says KH-250 but the vin starts with S1F so what is it? | ||||

KH250 frame no. does not start with S1F.
Send me you frame and engine numbers i will try to work out what model you have. |

differenceI think the S1 has a different tank and rear tail unit plus side panelschecked this out on other sites. |

I'm sorry but KH 250 76 A5 with front drum brakes has a frame S1F 24400 and after. |
