Computer help !!!!My keyboard has gone mental
When i press the @ i get this " When i press the pound sign i get this # When i press the " i get this @ When I press the # i get this \ WHY ????? |

Go into Control panel:
Click 'Regional and Lanuage options': Select the 'Lanuages' tab: Click 'details' button: The chances are that your keyboard has changed to US. Select (or add) United Kingdom keyboard and remove the US one. when you restart the PC your keys should be in their rightful place. |

my laptop (newly fixed!!) overheats only when the battery is charging  so guessing the bats faulty (only when the battery is flat and initially charging) battery only lasts about 40 mins so fooked anyways!!

AAAh ok then wolfie.Is their a way to get the right punctuation to correctly spell Stales name??? It does my head in not being able to spell it correctly

Do it the cheats way. Cut and paste his name into your message

Go to ....
all programes,click on accesories, click on system tools then character map, and hey presto there it is. Much easier to cut and paste

http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp get your son to download this si and then run it whilst on a table to get an ambient reading. then download the prime95 to test the sensor (runs the cpu at 98% 88% 75% etc so makes it run at its hottest then makes sure it cool down)
then do the same without the fan when he uses it on his bed, but set the warning at 80 c so you've got time to move the laptop to cool it down again. poor enviorment is causing your problems me thinks cheers btw Stales got a middle name

No, not Wayne. He's the devil!! (long story). I have a txt doc with all of the things I need to copy/paste and have it open when on the boards. Makes it easier to find.
