72 h2pic of my 72 h2 or the "surger" as i like to call it.i love and hate this bike in equal measures, due to the fact that all it is comfortable doing is accelerating hard.this sounds like i am just moaning but can be a real pain in the arse when trying to drive across town.still working to resolve the problem or at least reduce the problem with the help of people such as wolfman, but for now it is the 2nd favourite bike after the h1a.

That list of foibles is what we all love about them, it's a pain and great all at the same time...
Have you had the one where someone pulls you up and says, 'I think you must have a puncture mate... the back end was weaving all over the place'!
It must frighten modern bikers to death when following, we just get used to it!

to be honest don't mind that aspect of the bike,as although it does start to weave it is predictable and lets you know progressively when it is reaching its limit :thumright: favourite new game is counting how many none triple club members, but still bikers ,call these bikes a "widowmaker" talk about cliches.used to annoy me,now just find it funny :thumright:

aylors reeded 750 never surged once when i rode it :smt102 is that the solution then?

interesting idea simon with regard to the reeds....my idea is in a similar vein...all the triples other than the 750 have full circle flywheels, so obviously have a small crankcase volume, thus high primary compression....the 750's have the pork chop triangular shape flywheels, obviously because the sheer size of full circle cranks for a 750 would be difficult to balance...therefore crankcase volume is high reducing crankcase compression...so the bike is generally happier when run at wide throttle openings because of the increased vacuum that this causes and increased scavenging that follows, thus supporting your theory of the reeds as they are essentially non return valves.....any other theories :thumright: ......or should i just sell the bugger and keep riding the demon 500. :smt102
