Here is my "new" S3A. It is 95% complete, 95% original, and 100% neglected! It appears to have been dropped on the right side, but suffered only minor scrapes on the pipes (both, of course) and oil pump cover. It has the inexplicable upside down clubmans, and some squishy grips but everything else appears to be complete and correct, down to the original tires! The few parts that were missing were supplied to me by Triple Ed. Shift linkage, oil lines, replacement for bent headlight ear, even a grab bar! What a guy! :thumleft:  I plan to eventually paint it in the 77 KH400 candy emerald green color, it has always been my favorite! This will be a looong term project as I am still tweaking my H1, an ongoing project in itself.

As you can see, I'll be seeking some replacements for a few items that are beyond recovery, and sending quite a batch off for re-chroming!
Let the games begin!!! :-D

Original bikes, eh? Just goes to show they're out there!
Do you know how many owners its had?
Keep us up to date 3pipes, I for one would like to know how it goes back together.
Regards,
Gary.

Not good enough, I still have it  :)

Anyway I buy far more stuff than I sell, it's a sickness you have to have :D

But back to that cover, my Kawasaki  lookup disc shows all the S series with 2 hole mount, but a small insert pic with the 4 hole as well, very confusing

Actually I just picked up a KH400 motor for it last weekend. It has the one piece cover due to the CDI and the oil pump cover is excellent too! I got the entire wiring harness, with regulator / rectifier / CDI box... Already have the right handlebar control, the kill switch is different, S3 won't work on KH. Will be trading lots of S3 parts for KH with Garyr on the US board, as he bought a KH for parts and has now discovered the number of parts that are different. It's a win-win! :D

Update: Had the right cylinder stuck, took lots of time, heat, penetrating oil (Free-All :thumright: ), pounding (broken fin  ) and finally it is on the bench with the others.

Now it's in pieces, waiting for some cleaning, painting, a few new parts and mostly some TLC!

Haven't been around here much lately, backed off all the boards a bit, but with the S3 on the rise I know this is the place for the "little ones"! :D
