Hi guys, hope your getting plenty of sunny weather for bike riding as i am. I am new to this forum and have a 1973 S3. I sold this bike 8 years ago to a mate for $400.00, he did nothing to it so I bought it back recently. Here is a pic.

Since this photo I have refitted the air box with two new intake rubbers, a new genuine fuel tap, new front tyre, new float seats and needles. Goes like a cut snake, I have also ordered a new Mcylinder kit and front brake pads.
The clutch was stuck fast from years of sitting and riding it out wasn't happening so I pulled the case today and seperated the plates manually. Discovered if you remove the 2 screws holding the oil pump you can then swing the case towards the front with plenty of access to the clutch without the need to remove any of the oil lines.
I'll be fitting a new rear tyre and chain next week.
The baffles have been cut down which on the 400 gives you more horses and the sound is very angry :)
I'll make some chambers for it down the track, they are quite easy to make if I utilise the original headers and material cost should be no more than $200.00AU or $350.00 if I buy pre made end cans, RGV style or similar.
I don't intend to do any "pretty" work on it, I am pretty much over that kind of work preferring to get bikes to go, handle and stop really well.
Other bikes I have include Suzuki T20 and T350, Yamaha YDS5 and a 91 GSXR 750. Triples I have owned in the past inc S1 KH500 and a H2.
Well nice to find this forum, talk later.
PS I have a NOS points cover for sale, see for sale section.
