I'm having a slight problem shifting gears, I have to apply lots of pressure to the lever to change gear, The engine has just been rebuilt, anyone have this issue and is there a know fix before I split the cases to check the box?

+1
I will agree with Adrian with you having a specail cabbie and the linkages not been standard I think you will have to mess around with the linkages tweaking then trying it
looking at the standard of your work i doubt it will be internally
cheers

I set the linkage at 90deg. (I had to change to 1 up 4 down) to the shaft and it works but I still can't select neutral while the engine is running.
I don't remember the gear change being this hard! I'll run it as is for a few miles and see if it loosens up. |

classic s3 clutch drag mate, select neutral before you stop, whilst still rolling, works everytime.
then you can spend days getting the clutch perfect and then it will slip instead so a tiny bit of drag is best for me, just remember to get in neutal before you stop. you get used to it
if the bike is staitionery move it back and forward and neutral will select |
