OK gurus. I got a used brake plate from Mista Lista. Looks just the same as the one that was on the old mans S3, which was the whole idea. It has a red and blue useable range sticker. So far, so good. The brake arm, however are different on the two. The one that came with the bike is sort of a double layered pressed/stamped steel with sharp edges, while the one on Simons plate is more round, chromed cast iron. Which one is correct for the 74 S3 ? Or did it come with both versions ?
